Arthur Vincent Aston CMG, MC (born 1896, in Chester), was the first British Adviser for Perak after the abolishment of the post British Resident of Perak. He was Resident Commissioner of Penang from 1948 to 1951. He was an internee at Changi and Sime Road during the Japanese occupation of Malaya and Singapore. ==Education== He was educated at The King's School, Chester and Queen's College, Oxford. Aston was a Colonial Administrator and had posted as the Resident Commissioner of Penang from 1948-1950 and 1950-1951. He was the World War I RFA Cadet Malayan Civil Service in 1919. He served in the Malayan Civil Service from 1919 until 1951. Aston also posted as the Malayan Civil Service Chairman of Kinta Sanitary Board, Acting Resident Councillor of Penang from 1 April 1933 to 20 April 1933, District Officer of Telok Anson, Acting Resident Councillor of Malacca and British Adviser for Perak (1946 - 1948).
